Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the use of aromatic oils which are derived from aromatic plant materials. These aromatic oils are volatile and powerful substances, which are in effect, the "life force" of the plant. These tiny odoriferous molecules affect the mind and body and can bring about changes to the psychological and physical well-being. In simpler terms, Aromatherapy is the use of essential oils to promote balance and harmony within mind and body!

The practice of Aromatherapy uses pure aromatic oils to promote physical and mental wellbeing through the power of the beautifully scented oils.

From calming Ylang Ylang oil to invigorating Lemon oil, relaxing Lavender oil, and soothing Tea Tree oil: each has its own characteristic properties. Ranging in aromatic strength from mild to strong, they can be used individually or in a blend of several complimentary oils to suit your mood.

Some aromatherapy oils have antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic or anti-inflammatory qualities, whilst others can have a positive effect on skin tone.

Aromatherapists use oils in a range of ways, from massage to inhalations and baths, depending on the type of oil and the reason for its use.
